Frequently Asked Questions
Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider. This means I do not contract directly with any insurance companies and do not handle any billing or claims processes. However, many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that may reimburse you for a portion of my fees.
Fees and Payment
My fee for a 50-minute individual session is $225. Couple and family therapy sessions are 60 minutes and the fee is $250. Payment is due at the time of service.
Insurance Reimbursement
I am happy to provide you with a detailed receipt, also known as a "superbill" at the end of each month that includes the necessary information for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
To determine your out-of-network benefits, please contact your insurance company directly.
Good Faith Estimate
As required by the No Surprises Act, I will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of services. This estimate will help you understand the potential financial responsibility you may incur.
Scheduling and Cancellation
Regular appointments are scheduled Mondays through Fridays during working hours. I also offer in person appointments on Saturdays.
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you miss an appointment without providing 24 hours' notice, you will be charged the full session fee.
What to Expect
During our initial consultation, we'll focus on understanding your reasons for seeking therapy. I will share my initial impressions and recommendations, and we'll discuss how we can best work together to address your needs and goals. If we both agree that we're a good fit, we'll then schedule ongoing sessions at a regular frequency.
